The best future prospects!

Retention rate

Our apprentices are our future!
That is why we offer almost all our apprentices a full-time job once they have successfully completed their training. We cover our demand for junior staff primarily from our own ranks and jointly select the best possible candidates for job roles after their training is complete.

Further training

In line with the "lifelong learning" model, training and learning at HERMLE does not stop after initial training. We offer all our former apprentices the chance to develop on both a professional and personal level.

Assembly learning site

Assembly and training combined in one and the same place.
In addition to our training workshop, we also have an assembly learning site, the so-called LOMO. This is where apprentices help manufacture HERMLE machining centres during their training, thereby taking responsibility from the start for a product that will then actually be used.

Additional training courses

By delivering additional training courses throughout their apprenticeship, we support the professional and personal development of our apprentices. This also includes, for example, road safety training or training on how to use Microsoft Office.

Digital training management

We manage and organise our training courses digitally. Thus, we simplify important training processes to guarantee better learning and working: Exchanging and sharing knowledge, passing on know-how, storing documents and much more besides – with access for all apprentices and students.

Occupational health and safety

We ensure safety in the workplace – not only through specific training courses, but also through protective measures that are organised by our occupational health and safety team and conveyed throughout the company.

Young people and apprentice representation

Our young people and apprentice representation, JAV for short, is made up of three apprentices and represents the interests and needs of all our apprentices.

The JAV looks after all the concerns of our youngest employees, monitors agreements with them, cooperates with our works council and is the first point of contact for apprentices.

Educational trips

Combining excursions with work and awareness – that is the aim of our educational trips that are organised as part of the training process. The apprentices visit partner companies where they get an insight into their training methods, but also into the companies as a whole.
A highlight of this programme is also the chance to accompany one of our sales reps for several days, which involves "real" contact with HERMLE customers.

Competent team of trainers

Our experienced team of trainers is the main pillar of our training facilities.

The trainers are the central figures throughout the apprenticeship. Kindness, reliability, support and in-depth knowledge characterise our team of trainers. And respectful interaction forms the basis for excellent cooperation.

Induction week

At HERMLE, no one is expected to jump in head first!
Orientation, intensive exchange and having fun together are the most important features of the induction week.
During these first few days, our apprentices get an initial insight into HERMLE's world of working.
During joint training sessions and team building activities, you will get to know your fellow apprentices, the company, your colleagues and your supervisors personally.

Promoting success

Good performance is rewarded at HERMLE. We therefore offer apprentices who complete their training with excellent grades the opportunity to participate in the support programme, in which we support their further education.

Support programme for girls in technical professions

We want to encourage girls to learn technical professions. To this end, we have developed our special girls' support programme "EMMA", which makes it easier for tech-savvy girls to get started. For more information, see the menu item "Girls in technical professions – support programme".
